2002, Monday Not enough can be said for the Staff at SF General I.C.U. and the SF Police Department officials ... they provided Jess with the best opportunity for survival and the space we needed to work with the reality of the situation... They went way beyond what anybody would want or expect ... Rivka, Julio and all the other SF General professionals' experience gave us the strength we needed ... Jess passed, they drew the curtain, and let Deborah and I sleep with Jess for a number of hours, then he was transferred to the coronor's office and we were allowed to view him through a window for another number of hours............... That's remarkable, and beyond the call of duty, and what the Buddhist monks requested in order to accompany him in his journiey ... Jess's Dad There are no words in the English language to express my most honored appreciation in all of your efforts in the battle to save my sons' life. Your skill and compassion and caring - allowing his friends and relatives to have at least few moments with him was so positive and so necessary to the healing process and you all respected that, and allowed us to spend quality time with him. You treated him with so much respect - everyone did. There was a blip in the universe and somehow my son got swallowed up in it. I am this side of flipped trying to find a center - any center,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, You have my love forever.... If there is some small way for me to do something for each of you - I am real good at maintaining gardens, or homes while you are on vacation , great at organizing closest and things, and I can cook a decent meal, and picnic for sunset on Mt.Tam a specialty. You all are in my heart forever.............You are my Angels................Love Deb |
